In the spring, the beautiful warblers are migrating back to their summer nesting locations. Wildflowers are blooming along the trails and creeks. The most colorful butterflies, moths, dragonflies, and damselflies are winging through the forest. It is also a great time for locating elusive salamanders. In fall there are the colorful leaves and the snowfall in winter provide an ideal backdrop to a forest discovery. Join Naturalist Jackie Speicher for this series of hikes to delight your senses. Bluebirds Spend an afternoon learning about eastern bluebirds. Join us for an informational slide show, a short walk on the nature trail and then we will build boxes at the center for you to take home. Bluebird box kits are available for purchase ($5 each).
